Eligibility information for CSoC members and the providers who serve them.

For Members

The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) has a new Medicaid eligibility and enrollment system. Members can create an account and have access to their Medicaid eligibility and can make changes such as change of address.

For Providers

Providers are responsible for verifying the members’ eligibility through the Louisiana Medicaid Eligibility Verification System (MEVS). Providers may also visit Provider & Plan Resources to access the Medicaid & Enrollment Portal.

Eligibility should be verified prior to the first appointment, throughout the course of treatment and prior to submitting claims. When applicable, hard copies of the MEVS printout should be maintained in the member's medical record.

Providers should also be advised that the verification of eligibility does not guarantee claims payment. Payment of benefits is subject to the member's eligibility on the date service is rendered and any other contractual provisions of the plan. Payment is also subject to prior authorization guidelines.
